Vodafone Hotspot Data Limit Explained
Vodafone Turkey tracks hotspot (tethering) data separately from the data you use on the phone itself. That is why sharing your connection with a laptop can run out while your regular package still shows plenty left. This guide explains how the allowances are organised, how to check them, and what your official options are.
How Vodafone splits hotspot data
In the Vodafone Yanımda app, the remaining-usage page ("Kalan Kullanımlarım") lists your allowances one by one. Depending on your tariff you may see:
- A hotspot allowance included in your plan, used and reset independently of your normal data.
- Paylaşım (sharing) packages bought separately for tethering, if you have added any.
Once the included hotspot allowance is used, tethered data comes from a sharing package if you have one; otherwise tethered speeds are reduced until the allowance resets. Amounts vary by tariff and change over time, so rely on the figures shown for your own line.
How to check your remaining hotspot data
- Open the Vodafone Yanımda app.
- Go to the remaining-usage page ("Kalan Kullanımlarım").
- Look for the hotspot line and any Paylaşım package, which are listed separately from your main data.
Your phone's own counter (Settings, data usage, Mobile hotspot and tethering on most Android phones) shows how much you have shared, but Vodafone's figure is the one that applies to your plan. (Checked September 2026. App menus can change, confirm in the Vodafone Yanımda app.)
Official options when it runs out
- Buy a Paylaşım (sharing) package if you regularly need more hotspot data than your plan includes.
- Switch to a tariff with a larger hotspot allowance.
- Wait for the allowance to reset at the start of the next billing period.
- Move large downloads to Wi-Fi where you can.

If you want to share your phone's mobile data with a laptop or another phone, Tether Link Utility is an Android app that does this through a local SOCKS5 proxy. Data used by connected devices still counts toward your mobile plan, so check your carrier's tethering terms.
